DEA CERERE ROOM

This room belongs to an old tower of the 16th century , donated by Ferdinando I of Aragon to Filo family after the first half of 1400.
The transition happened in the town of Matera from Aragon’s and Sicily king, to the mayor of the nobles of Altamura: Pasquale Filo.
“Dea Cerere” room is represented by a fresco which depicts the goddess on a wagon , driven by a mythical beast. The fresco is the flagship of this beautiful structure.
